Lexington's Vice Mayor, Linda Gorton will be presenting Latitude's first Annual Citizens Advocate of the Year Award. This award was conceived to recognize citizens who have undertaken extraordinary service on behalf of the community. Though the award places special emphases on those who support disability culture, the award may go to any community organizer who serves passionately, creatively and courageously to enrich all our lives.

Morry La Tour, our first recipient, served as the first Chair of the Mayor's Commission for Citizens with Disabilities. Among his many notable achievements, Mr. La Tour has done much to help create a more reliable and accessible public transportation system for Lexington.
