Latitude is organizing its fourth Health and Wellness Awareness Presentation/Workshop series, and we are happy to invite you and those you serve to attend any of the presentations scheduled. A few workshops are to be added to this schedule, we will keep you updated through our blog and Facebook accounts.

Our first three workshops are linked but you do not have to attend all three. In these workshops participants will be introduced to basic computer training. We will have ten computers plus a mobile lab and instructor. This program is brought to us through the Outreach Services Program of the Lexington Public Library


Mon April 5 intro to computers 10-11, open computer lab 1-3


Wed April 7 introduction to internet 10:00am-11:00am, open computer lab, 1:00pm-3:00pm


Fri April 9 (2 events) Finding health information on the internet, we will be downloading copies of the food pyramid plus discussing it with Lyndsey Powell of the Human Development Institute at UK, this occurs from 10:30am-12:00pm. Open computer lab, 1:00-3:00pm

Mon April 19, Public Safety issues with Lexington Department of Public Safety 10:30am-11:30am


Tues April 20 10:30, Get Moving with Lyndsey Powell- basic but essential exercise techniques and practice


Tues April 27, and Thurs April 29 10:30- 11:30 Chair Yoga with Theresa Thompson of GrassRootsYoga


Wed May 5, 11:00am Advocacy issues with Andrea James, LFUCG 1st District Councilperson, Commission for Citizens with Disabilities
