New Work by Latitude artists and Michelle P. Waiver update

We have some new and exciting events here at Latitude to tell you about- but first we want to remind everyone that we are accepting artists through the Michelle P. Waiver as well as the SCL Waiver!
For more information call Crystal Bader or Bruce Burris (859) 806-0195 --now on to the exciting stuff!

Some pictures from our LFUCG project- everyone at Latitude Artist Community contributed over the past few months in creating pictures of all the current Lexington City Council (LFUCG) members. They are installed in an exhibit at LexArts, 161 N. Mill Street.

Many of you know the music of Kentucky's Ben Sollee (www.bensollee.com/). If you haven't seen him live then perhaps you saw him perform this February on the Jimmy Kimmel show. He and fellow musician Daniel Martin Moore are embarking on a tour late this summer in which much of the music will be about Mountain Top Removal. Ben visited Latitude recently with Phil Jones and discussed the possibility of creating some visual art to accompany the tour. Below are some group murals and other work about Mountain Top Removal we have created in preparation for the work we will be doing.
