Autumn 08' Update

Latitude Artist Community Autumn 08' Update
It has been an extremely busy and exciting Autumn for all of us here at Latitude.

In November Latitude artist Jessie Dunahoo will have work displayed at the LexArts Gallery (161 North Mill Street) in an exhibit called "Folk Art Takes A New Form" This is a juried exhibition and we are pleased to report that Jessie won the $500.00 Grand Prize! Beverly Baker

Beverly has work in an exhibit called "Communication Breakdown" which stops in both Paris, France and New York City during October and November.

Belinda Sellers

Latitude artist Belinda Sellers artist has a display of her wonderful handbags at Third Street Coffee.

Ralph Reynolds and Allen Jones are exhibiting large scale mixed media pieces at Third Street Coffee.

Project Easy Access Lexington (PEAL) Day of the Dead Shrine

On Monday November 3rd from 12pm- 1pm PEAL will be paying tribute to those pedestrians and drivers who have been injured at the intersection of N. Broadway and Short streets. All Latitude artists are creating a shrine which will be displayed for one hour at this intersection.(see blog for pics) As some of you may remember PEAL conducted a survey of this intersection in June 2007and discovered that in 100 cycles of the lights- 106 motorists drove through a red light. Yes we counted!
